A member of the Church of Christ, she was born Nov. 26, 1917, in Florence.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, April 18, 2008, in Greenview Memorial Chapel at 1 p.m., with burial to follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Chris Kemp.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Emmitt B. Allen, also of Lauderdale County; her parents, Ethel and Cecil Daniels; her sister, Mildred Fagan; and brother, Clyde Daniels.
She is survived by two sons, Randy B. Allen and wife, Sherry, of Yucaipa, Calif., and Sam R. Allen, of Muscle Shoals; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Hayes, Dale Sneed, Charles "Pete" Isbell, Kevin Dick, Henry Allen and Fred Allen.
