Mary Mindwell Sawyer Childs was born August 23, 1845 in NH. She was the daughter of Hiram Sawyer and Barbara Wilson and wife of George Alanson Childs who I believe died in 1903. She had two children, George Jay Childs, later to become an Episcopal priest, and Mertie Mary who died around the age of 30. Mary Mindwell died in LaPorte Indiana, 1006 Michigan Avenue, and was buried in Menominee. Her date of death is May 7, 1935 at the age of 89 years and 8 months. She was my paternal great grandmother.
