Amelia Josephine Scannell Davis passed away at the age of 82 at the Tahoe Forest Hospital, Extended Care Facility. She was born to Dennis and Amelia Delaney Scannell. Amelia had lived in Truckee for the past two years, living there off and on for 20 years. She also lived in San Mateo, CA. She worked as a hairdresser at Mr. Lee's Beauty Salon in San Mateo for 35 years. She was a member of the Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, both in San Mateo. Her son, Michael of Truckee; and sister, Rene Smith of Emmaus, PA, survives Amelia. Her husband, John passed away in 1964.
