Dorothy "Dot" Moran, 69, of Pottsville, died Wednesday at St. Joseph Hospital, Reading.
Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Grace Randazzo Schaeffer.
She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and was retired from the Law Firm of Cerullo, Datte and Wallbillich, P.C.
Dot was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and was parish secretary for four years.
In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death her four brothers, Joseph and in infancy, Francis, Paul and William.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, William; a daughter, Margaret Kurtz, wife of John; a son, William Jr., husband of Nicole; four grandchildren, Nicholas and Nathan Kurtz, and Olivia and Annie Moran; a brother, John Schaeffer; several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Church, 913 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. The Rev. David J. Loeper will officiate. Family and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dot can be made to St. John the Baptist Memorial Fund. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
