Audrey was born in Schuylkill Haven, on Aug. 4, 1927, a daughter of the late Sadie (Wagner) and Samuel Claude Schaeffer.
She was the widow of Walter G. Gliem, who passed away Nov. 21, 2007.
She was employed by the garment industry in Pottsville for more than 35 years.
In addition to her husband, Audrey is preceded in death by brothers Glenn, Bob, Dick, and Jerry Schaeffer and sisters Elaine Bowles, Dorine Schuler, Delphine Heck, and Mary Rattigan.
She is survived by a daughter Gail A. Labarbera, wife of Peter, Pottsville; three sons, Walter G. Gliem Jr. husband of Janet, Biglerville, Bryon D. Gliem, and Jeffrey A. Gliem husband of Annette, both of Pottsville; grandchildren Peter Labarbera and wife Andrea, Wade Gliem and wife Stephanie, Amanda Labarbera, Jared Gliem and Abby Gliem; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Logan and Harrison. Audrey is also survived by brothers Claude "Firp," Dale and Bruce Schaeffer and sisters Joyce Herring, Pat Barnes and Shirley Williams.
Mom's warm smile, ability to make us laugh, the smell of home cooking, and her unconditional love will be in our hearts forever.
Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park Schuylkill Haven.
