Born July 8, 1928 in Huntingdon Township, Luzerne Co., she was a daughter of the late James Stanley and Cora (Amig) Schaeffer. Her husband, Ray W. Beasom, died January 31, 1988.
She is survived by twin daughters, Diane Marshall and Pam Leister, both of Mifflintown; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Florence and her husband owned and operated Beasom's Restaurant in Mifflintown from 1963 until 1970. She then worked as a seamstress at Pebb Sewing Factory in Mifflintown until she retired.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the Mifflintown VFW auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, scrabble, and board games, camping, and doing crossword puzzles.
Per Florence's request, there will be no service and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
