Marie E. Ruebl, age 84 of Rhinelander, died on June 1, 2005 at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Tomahawk, WI.
She was born on December 9, 1920 in Milwaukee, WI to Albert and Ella (Polzin) Scherf. She attended schools and graduated from high school in the Milwaukee area. She married August Ruebl and they spent 53 wonderful years together.
After their marriage they owned and operated a business in Milwaukee until moving to Crandon in 1960 where they owned and operated the Ruebl's Bonnie Beach Resort on Lake Metonga until retiring in 1977. At that time they moved to the Rhinelander area where she has lived since.
Mrs. Ruebl enjoyed music and dancing and she enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her flowers.
She is survived by her husband August Ruebl of Tomahawk, her son Frank(Gretchen)Ruebl of Crandon, WI, 5 Grandchildren, her five sisters Lydia Brockway of Paloma, WI, Elinore Knueppel of Milwaukee, WI Florence Kranski of West Bend, WI Ruth Placzek of Whitewater, TE and Dorothy Oberdorf of Milwaukee, WI, many Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Tommy, her parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
Private family services have been held. Interment will be in the Crandon Lakeside Cemetery. The Carlson Funeral Home (369-1414/www.carlsonfh.com) is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Ruebl's family.
