Irene Ada Blake, age 103 years, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Huron Woods Nursing Center. She was born on January 25, 1911 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of the late Earnest and Ada (Smurr) Schneider. On June 30, 1934 she and Leo Blake were married, and after 45 years of being together he preceded her in death on May 28, 1980.
Surviving family include her daughter, Patricia (Joseph) Spychalski and her son, William (Shirley) Blake; and grandchildren, Sandra (Brian) Basler, Daniel Spychalski and Peter (Eun) Spychalski. Irene was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Diane Spychalski.
Private burial at Floral Gardens Cemetery.
