--The wedding of Miss Emelia Schneider to John G. Burkle of Elkhart, Ind., which occurred at high noon Thursday at the residence of the bride's sister, Mrs. Ernest Noneman of Marengo township was witnessed by a company of forty immediate relatives and intimate friends. Rev. Chr. Heidenreich of the German Lutheran church was the officiating clergyman and the ring service was employed in the ceremony. The bride was attended by Miss Lena Schneider, both ladies wearing dainty gowns of white silk and carrying roses, while Mr. Jacob Burkle of Elkhart supported the groom. The home was rendered additionally attractive by a profusion of palms, potted plants and carnations. A wedding dinner was served at one o'clock, the guests being seated at small tables throughout the rooms. Mr. and Mrs. Burkle boarded an interurban car going as far as Albion where they transferred to the Michigan Central train. They were liberally showered with rice by friends who accompanied them to the station. A fine array of wedding gifts, gives evidence of the warm friendship borne the couple by a countless number of friends with whom both are highly regarded.
