Emma T. (Birchmeier) Krupp of New Lothrop, age 101, died Thursday, April 14, 1983, at the home of a great-granddaughter in Holly. Funeral services were held Monday at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Maple Grove, Rev. Fr. John Ederer officiating. Burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Mrs. Krupp was born in Swormsville; New York, November 13, 1881, the daughter of Mattthew and Catherine (Besch) Schneider and came to Maple Grove in 1884. She married Pius Birchmeier in Maple Grove, February 4, 1904; he preceded her in death in 1931. She married Theodore Krupp in 1951; he preceded her in death in 1954. She was a member of St. Michael Altar Society. Surviving are: 5 daughters, Mrs. C.L. (Albena) Brown of Clio, Mrs. Pauline Benway of Flint, Mrs. Lester (Bernice) Hooks of Flint, Frances Birchmeier and Catherine Birchmeier, both of Flint; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Clara Birchmeier of New Lothrop and Arthur and Mary Birchmeier of Pontiac; 2 daughter-in-law, Ruth Birchmeier and Leonore Thiel both of New Lothrop; 37 grandchildren; 98 great-granchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; step-chiildren, Mr. and Mrs. Julian (Emma) Krupp of Flushing, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer (Lucille) Krupp of Flint, Clarence Krupp of Chesaning, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Lucy) Krupp of Chesaning, Mr. and Mrs. Ignatius (Pauline) Krupp of Lapeer, Mr. and Mrs. Carl (Jean) Krupp of Lennon, Mr. and Mrs. LaVern (Edna) Krupp of Chesaning, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew (Christine) Vrable of Chesaning, Mr. and Mrs. Clare (Marie) Wenzlick of New Lothrop; many step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
