MARJORIE EUNICE BURDO

Marjorie Eunice Burdo, age 90, of Clare passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at her home. Marjorie was born on May 21, 1915 to Arthur and Agnes Schneider in Fraser. She graduated from the Detroit Business College and worked for several years for brokers and lawyers in downtown Detroit. Marjorie and Benjamin were married 62 years on January 8th. They met at a Michigan Hardware Convention in Detroit. Both Ben and Marjorie's parents owned hardware stores. After Ben's return from World War II, Marjorie and Ben made their residence in Clare. For over 40 years Marjorie assisted Ben in operating the Clare Hardware.

Marjorie and Ben have two daughters Elaine (Vincent) Demasi of Clare and Carolyn (Rick) Hardacre of Livonia. She also took pride in her four grandchildren Anthony and Nicholas Demasi, both of Chicago; Christina Hardacre of Denver, CO; and Jennifer Hardacre of Sterling Heights.

Marjorie's interests were spending time with her family and playing Bridge. Marjorie continued to be interested in current trends in business and stocks. She loved nature beauty and animals.

The funeral service was held at the St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Clare on Monday, January 16, 2006.

Memorial contributions can be made to the MidMichigan Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Clare County or to the Clare County Animal Shelter.
