REV. DR. Wayne Edward Schwandt, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Rev. Dr. Schwandt was born on October 19, 1949 in Burlington, WI.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater before obtaining a Masters of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Creation Spirituality from Wisdom University.

He was the pastor for Evolve, a ministry of United Church of Christ in Annapolis, MD.

Rev. Dr. Schwandt lived in Washington, DC with his husband Charles (Chuck) Riley. He was also survived by his sons Scott (Sherry) Riley of Ranson, WV, Kyle (Kathy) Riley of Sydney, Australia, Matthew Riley of Dover, DE and Jason Schwandt of Durham, NC; a brother Bill Schwandt of Appleton, WI; a sister Roxanne (Pedro) Corpus of Delevan, WI; grandchildren Brian, Samantha, Sean, Shane, and Jordon; and his aunt Louise Schwandt of Pell Lake, WI.

We will celebrate his life together this Saturday, May 9, at 4pm at First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis, 171 Duke of Gloucester St., Annapolis, MD 21401. The closest parking available is at Hillman Garage located at 150 Gorman St. in Annapolis. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Evolve, the Creation Spirituality Community of the United Church of Christ, 8 Carvel Circle Edgewater, MD 21037.
