She will long be remembered for her genius creativity, dynamic personality and gracious hostess. A 3th generation San Franciscan, daughter of the Dean of Dental School at UOP, Cissie moved to Sacto in 1952 to follow her heart to the hometown of her beloved husband, Danny Goldstein and raise a family.
She hosted a radio talk show on decorating tips with Mary Jane Pop, taught interior decorating at local colleges, and designed elaborate decorations for "simchas" and events.
She planned innumerable events for Jewish Federation, Hadassah, B'nai Israel, the Jewish Family Service, and TDX Sorority.
She was a Charter Tour Guide at the State Capitol and co-founded Leisure League with Judge Leonard Friedman at B'nai Israel in 1998.
Cissie opened her heart and home for community celebrations, hosting high profile dignitaries including Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir and Soviet dancer, Mikhal Baryshnikov.
Survived by 2 daughters, Sandi Goldstein and Terri Goldstein, 2 son-in-laws, Richard Norene and Craig Steyer, granddaughter, Rachel Norene, and great grandchildren, Eve and Juno, nieces Laurie Wood, Lori Silverstein and Lisa Silverman and nephews David and Michael Goldstein.
Funeral will be March 21st at 2 PM at the Home of Peace Cemetery, 6200 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95824.
