Carmen M. Alley of Tucson, Arizona was born March 20, 1937 to Esley Lewis and Audrey Byrlita (Snider) Scott in Arnold, Nebraska. She died Wednesday, April 17, 1996 after a lengthy illness.

The youngest of four children, Carmen lived in Nebraska until moving to Holyoke in 1939. She attended schools in Holyoke.

Carmen married Herbert Fisbeck on August 8, 1954. They settled in Paoli, while Herbert commuted to Holyoke as a printer for The Holyoke Enterprise. Three children came from this union. Damon Eugene, Brooks Marlene and Edisue Gaylene.

The couple later divorced after living in Thornton from 1967 to 1981. Carmen remained in Thorton and worked for Sentinel Newspapers.

She married Cammeron Alley on December 3, 1985. They settled in Toledo, Oregon. Carmen commuted to Newport, Oregon where she managed Action Business Systems. Her husband remodeled homes in the area while they owned Toledo Remodel, Inc. In November of 1995 they decided to travel. Their journeys took them to Utah, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas and Arizona.

Carmen was a dedicated mother and loving grandmother. She also enjoyed crafts, working with computer graphics and she loved Southwestern culture.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include husband Cammeron Alley; son Damon and wife Nancy Fisbeck of Tucson; daughters Brooks and husband John Cirbo of Westmister and Edisue and husband Michael McCormick of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren Deniann and Denisha Cirbo, Lauren and Lisa Fisbeck and Breyn, Jaren, Tyler and Travis McCormick; brother Blaine Scott of Holyoke; sisters Carol Brockish of Boulder and Sharron Lett of Holyoke; family spouses and extended families, and many friends.

Memorial services were held Monday, April 22, 1996 at Zion Lutheran Church in Holyoke with Rev. Gary Rahe officiating. Inurnment followed at Holyoke Memorial Park.
