Isadore J. Seidl, 74, of 814 W. 14th St., Marshfield, was pronounced dead of a heart ailment on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital at 8:02 p.m. Saturday. He had been in ill health the past number of years.

Rites will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church. His son, the Rev. Neil Seidl, S.D.S., will be the principal celebrant of the Mass, and burial will be made in St. Michael's cemetery in Hewitt. Friends may call at the Rembs Chapel after 2 p.m. Monday and until time of services on Tuesday. Two services will be conducted at the funeral home, a Knights of Columbus rosary service at 7:30 p.m. Monday and St. John's parish vigil service at 8 p.m. Monday.

A lifetime resident of the Marshfield area, Mr. Seidl was born Feb. 24, 1899, in Marshfield and received his education in the Marshfield schools. At Hewitt on July 8, 1924, he was married to the former Anna Reinert, who preceded him in death Sept. 28, 1971. After their marriage, the couple lived in Hewitt, where they owned and operated a general merchandise store for a number of years. In 1941, they moved to the city of Marshfield, where he was a Fuller Brush Company representative until his retirement about 10 years ago. He was a sports enthusiast, especially in the field of wrestling in which he had been active.

He is survived by three sons, the Rev. Neil Seidl, S.D.S., College of Racine, Racine, Paul J. Seidl, Marshfield, and Herbert J. Seidl, Madison; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Mary) Chrouser, Stratford, Mrs. Paul (Theresa) Probst, South Milwaukee, and Mrs. Thomas (Kay) Saviage, Beloit; two brothers, Wendelin Seidl, Marshfield, and Harold Seidl, Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Sister Mary Francis Phillip, Manitowoc, and Mrs. William Baer, Wisconsin Rapids; 22 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, a daughter, four brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, its Holy Name Society, the Knights of Columbus, and the U.C.T.
