She was born in Tannehill, Oklahoma, to Lewis H. and Martha E. (Barnard) Sennett. She grew up and attended school in Tannehill. She married James Floyd "Chico" Curtis on Dec. 22, 1951, in McAlester. She worked for Charles Komar & Sons more than 30 years before her retirement. She was a gardener and also enjoyed quilting. She was a resident of McAlester and passed away at her home at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers and two sisters.
