Formerly a resident of Yorktown Heights, died Friday August 16, 2002 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. She was 84. She was born October 17, 1917 to Dominic and Susan Sharkey of New Rochelle, NY. Where she grew up and attended schools. On June 21, 1941 she married Charles J. Benjamin Jr. (deceased) in New Rochelle, N.Y. The couple lived in New Rochelle for 35 years before moving to Yorktown in 1971. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak. She is survived by four daughters, Suzanne Gralnick of Stamford, CT., Eileen Benjamin Gagnon of Fishkill, NY; Patricia Cranwell of New Fairfield, CT. and Maureen Provenzano of Princeton, NJ., and nine grandchildren. A daughter, Elizabeth Benjamin, died in 1956. Reposing Sunday 7-9PM, and Monday 2-4 and 7-9PM at Clark Funeral Home, Inc., Yorktown Heights, NY. Mass Tuesday 11AM St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Shrub Oak, NY. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Chester, NY.
