NORTH OGDEN -Howard Elijah Shaw, 92, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City. He was born March 22, 1915 in North Ogden, to Charles Abraham and Elvira Peterson Shaw. He had two brothers and two sisters, Helen Hall (deceased), Earl Shaw (deceased), Floyd Shaw (deceased), and Lila Hales of Ogden. He graduated from Weber High School in 1933. Howard married LuLu Jean Hemming on August 20, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They enjoyed 60 years together before her death on June 15, 2003. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army. Howard was employed at Hill Air Force Base for 35 years and worked as a supervisor in Base Supply. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings. Howard enjoyed reading, gardening, home canning, hunting and visiting with family and friends.
Surviving are his children and their spouses, Karen (Larry) Hart, Eagle River, AK; Tamara Berrett, Brick, NJ; Brent (Linda) Shaw, Dillon, MT; Gary (Carrie) Shaw, Rexburg, ID; Marilee (Steve) Keil, Willard, UT; Bruce (Nanette) Shaw and Jay Shaw, both of Roy; Christine (Steve) Thompson, Layton; Jennilyn (Jed) Wayment, Henefer, UT; 26 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
