Mary Jane was active in the LDS Church and had been a Sunday School Teacher for the youth in the Ogden 42nd ward. She also served as the secretary to the Stake Relief Society Presidency.
She was an excellent employee; working at the Ogden Arsenal and as a contract auditor at HAFB. She loved flowers and gardening and enjoyed fishing.
Mary Jane is survived by her children Gayland K. Jensen (Chris) of Macon, GA, Gary R. Jensen (Connie) of No. Ogden, James LaMont Jensen (Betty) of West Point, Marianne J. Holtsclaw of SLC and Evelyn Rice (Richard) of Ogden; 18 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren and her brother Rulon C. Shaw of Thatcher, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lawrence Shaw and Woodrow Shaw; five sisters, Vera Applonie, Mildred Boyle, Tura Southwick, Alburdice Lindsay and Amelia Smith and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden where friends may call prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
