BRIGHAM CITY – Mary Jeanne Baron, 86 passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011.
Mary Jeanne was born on October 6, 1924 in Garland, Utah a daughter of Roy and Alta Owen Shaw.

She had lived in Garland and Delta, CO as a young child and returned to Brigham City for the rest of her life.

Mary Jeanne married Lowell "Duke" Baron on April 18, 1947 in Brigham City. She graduated from Box Elder High School in 1942. Mary Jean was a member of the LDS Church where she served as a primary teacher, MIA leader, junior sunday school teacher and in the relief society. She was a member of the Civic Improvement Club, Brigham Country Club and Fireman's Auxiliary. She worked at Bushnell Hospital as a dental assistant during WWII, and retired from IRS after 19 years of service. She enjoyed traveling with her family and husband, camping, fishing and golfing.

She always looked forward to the Annual Super Activity which includes family and friends to Mack's Inn, Lake Powell and other places. Mary Jeanne had a great memory, she knew all the birthdays and phone numbers of friends and family.

Surviving are her husband, Lowell "Duke" Baron, Brigham City; Christine Singer, David Baron, Brigham City; Thomas Baron, Preston, ID; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Also siblings: Grettle Haglund, Salt Lake City; Owen Shaw, Nashville, TN; Barbara Clayton, Huntsville, AL.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City.

A viewing will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and on Thursday from 12:00 to 12:45 a.m. at the Mortuary.

Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
