Wife of Emerson Allison. Daughter of James I. Shelby & Lucy M. Greenstreet.

The funeral of Mrs. E. E. Allison was conducted by Rev. Lee Maynard of Colchester, at the Nebo Christian church on Friday, Jan. 8, 1937 at 2 p. m.
A mixed quartette composed of Mrs. Foreman Fields, Mrs. Frank Yocum, Oliver Martin and C. S. Franklin accompanied by Mrs. Harry Craig sang "The Old Rugged Cross," "Going Down the Valley," and, "The City Four Square." The floral offerings were many and beautiful.
Mrs. Allison will be greatly missed by her many friends, as she was active in the church and in the social life of the community being a member of the Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors and the Woman's Club. The following is a brief sketch of her life.
Lillie Alma Shelby was born near Nebo, Illinois, September 19, 1877, the daughter of James and Lucy Greenstreet Shelby. She married Emerson E. Allison on December 12, 1897. All her life was spent in this community. She passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Quincy at 2:00 a. m. Wednesday, January 6, 1937. Surviving her are her husband, her three children, Mrs. Humphrey Zumwalt of Nebo, Mrs. Claud Shive of White Hall, Wayne of Glen Ellyn, eight grandchildren, her sister Mrs. Harry Petrie, two brothers Harry and Charles, all of California, and her mother Mrs. Lucy Shelby who has made her home with the Allisons for sixteen years.
