Jean Marie Sheldon Kissell, 46, of 411 Pleasant St., Beaver Dam, Wis., died Monday, Aug. 17, 1998, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Fort Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home, Orion. Burial is in Reynolds Cemetery. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Dodge Health Foundation, c/o Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Jean Marie Sheldon was born March 19, 1952, in Rural Township, Ill., daughter of Gilbert and Myrtle Marie Fluegel Sheldon. She married Robert W. Kissell Jr. Aug. 23, 1969, in Moline.
She was currently working as a registered nurse at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital. In 1996 she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in nursing from Marian College in Fond du Lac, Wis. She had worked at various nursing homes in the Illinois Quad Cities.
She was a member of the Marian College Alumni and NRA. She enjoyed line dancing, gardening, reading and collecting postage stamps.
Survivors include her mother, Myrtle M. Sheldon, Orion; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Lisa Sheldon, Orion; niece, Sarah Sheldon, and nephew, Gregory Sheldon, both of Orion; and a special friend, Bob Rewolinski, Beaver Dam. She was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Sheldon, March 31, 1994.
