Beverly Ann Beisell, the daughter of Ward Benjamin Sheriff and Vivian Mae (Ferguson) was born March 13, 1937, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, where she was raised and educated. On November 10, 1961, Beverly was united in marriage with Duane "Dewey" Beisell in Eagle Grove. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove. Duane preceded her in death on November 5, 2009. Beverly enjoyed camping and fishing, but her true joy was her family and caring for her grandchildren.
Beverly passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Wright Medical Center in Clarion, at the age of 73 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Roger, Rodney and Douglas; brothers, Gary and Ron Sheriff and sister, Kay McFadden. Survivors include her sons, Russell Beisell and wife Shelley of Eagle Grove and Darrell Beisell of Eagle Grove; daughters, Mary Mills and husband David of Bradenton, FL and Candy Day and husband Gary of Ames; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; brothers: Richard Sheriff and wife Carolyn of Des Moines and Donald Sheriff and wife Carla of Sweet Springs, MO and Robert Ferguson of Minneapolis, MN and brother-in-law, Dick Beisell and wife Bea of Mesa, AZ.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Dr. Fran Pettigrew officiating. Visitation will be Monday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
