Minnie M. Brownawell

Minnie M. Brownawell, 90, a guest of the Cumberland County Nursing Home and formerly of Shermans Dale, died Friday at the home.

Born in Perry County, she was the daughter of the late Andy and Amanda Baker Sheriff and was the widow of William C. Brownawell.

Surviving are three daughters, Mary Stump, Shermans Dale, Mildred Nace, Carlisle and Betty Rhoads, Gardners; five sons, Samuel Brownawell and Jess Brownawell, Carlisle, and Earl Brownawell, Robert Brownawell and David Brownawell, Shermans Dale; two step-sisters, Bernice Sheriff and Ellen Baer, Shermans Dale; 28 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Youngs United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale, with the Rev. Paul Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
