---Mrs. Mary Magdelina Gauss passed away at 1:30 o'clock this morning at the home in south Madison street following a long illness resulting from a stroke of paralysis.
---Mrs. Gauss was born December 27, 1850 in New Germantown, Pa. and had been a resident of Marshall for the past fourteen years. She is survived by two sisters and three brothers Miss Sallie Sheriff and Charles Sheriff of Marshall; Mrs. Jennie Watt of Harrisburg, Pa.; James W. Sheriff of Avon, Ill. and Levi Sheriff of Fredonia.
---Funeral services will occur at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning from the residence, 319 south Madison street. Rev. Wm. Chapman will officiate and burial will be given in the Lyon lake cemetery.
