Adelaide was the daughter of George W. Shore (1837 New York-1912 New York) and Ann MacArthur (1838 Canada-1910 New York). George's family was from Scotland and Ann's family was from Canada.
Adelaide "Addie" first married Lenard Walton; they had one child: Cecil Rodman Walton, born in December 1892 in Syracuse, Onondaga, New York , he then removed to Los Angeles, California
After Lenard's death, which was before June of 1900 as she was living with her parent on the June 1900 Syracuse, Onondaga, New York census report as a widow along with her son, Cecil, Adelaide then married (2) Thomas James Barber (as his second wife) on 16 July 1913 in Syracuse, Onondaga, New York.
Thomas James Barber died in December of 1938 in Syracuse; they had no additional children.
