Also preceded in death by son, Fred Marshall Gant, Jr., baby daughter, Donna Fay Gant, and infant daughter, Brenda Gay Gant. Fay graduated from Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1944 where she was a cheerleader, majorette, and Salutatorian of her class. Fay was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Oak Cliff. She was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Fred Marshall Gant; daughter and son-in-law, Jodi Lea (Gant) Carter, and J. Braxton Carter, II; grandchildren, J. Braxton, III, and Clayton Marshall Carter; brother and sister-in-law, Richard Milton Sims and Ethlyn Sims and much loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
