Born Jan. 14, 1912, in Galesburg to Ernest and Esther Anderson Tipton, she married Kenneth Burrell ''Hap'' Smith on March 30, 1929, in Galesburg. He died Feb. 13, 1981.
She was a clerk at the former O.T. Johnson's and at Kline's, both in Galesburg. She also had worked on the assembly line at Admiral Corp. in Galesburg.
She attended Knoxville United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg. The Rev. Mary Vick Roth will officiate. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville.
