Helen May Smith passed away July 24, 2008 at the age of 80. Helen was born January 8, 1928 in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho to Claude and Esther McIntire. She married Orrin E. Smith on June 30, 1943. Helen participated with her husband in driving 3000 head of cattle on the last cattle drive the huge MC Ranch made to one railroad. From then on the ranch used trucks.
Helen was an active member of the LDS church. She loved Genealogy and wrote several family histories. She served as Relief Society President as well as a Blazer Scout Leader. Helen will be remembered for her love of quilting, square dancing, playing the accordion and the wonderful meals she made for her family.

Helen is survived by her husband Orrin Smith; daughters; Gloria Spencer and Rowena Greenwood; sons; Claude Michael and Sidney; twenty-seven grandchildren and thirty-nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 29, 2008 at the Utah Veteran's Memorial Cemetery at Camp Williams, 17111 South Redwood Road, Bluffdale. Funeral Directors: Deseret Mortuary.
