September 2, 1935 - February 16, 2006
Edwin Lynn Smith went home on February 16, 2006 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lynn lost his battle with cancer, but fought all the way to the end. He was born on September 2, 1935 in Helena, Montana to Walter Smith and Francis Robinson (step-father Gene). He later married the love of his life, Irene Martinez, who was by his side through good times and bad. They have shared the last 40 years of their lives together, and they will share more in the future. He was a die hard Jazz fan who spent countless times yelling at the T.V. He also loved to fish, bowl, and spend time with the grand kids. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rene; sons: Tony (Jenifer), Nick (Cyndi); grandchildren, Olivia, Aidan, Isaac, Zoe, Dayton and Brecklyn; and a large family and many friends.
The family would like to thank St. Mark's Hospital and the medical care of Dr. Harker of the Cancer Institute. Don't forget, Padre, that we all love you very much and we will see you again, Love always!
Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marguerites Catholic Church, 510 East Vine Street, Tooele, Utah. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Church where a Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Services under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
