Mrs. Susan M. Dorland, 81 years old, died at her home in Whitehouse Station last Thursday, Oct. 28, 1937, after a long illness from a complication of diseases. She was the daughter of the late John C. and Caroline Hiller Smith and was born at marcella but had resided in Whitehouse about 50 years, where her husband was engaged in the well-drilling business. Mr. Dorland died Dec. 15, 1925. Mrs. Dorland was a member of the Reformed Church at Whitehouse Station. She is survived by two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Rose Buck of Newark, Mrs. Effie Earl of Rockaway, William Smith of Dover, and Fuller Smith of Rockaway.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Reformed Church with Rev. Henry F. Senne officiating. Interment was made at Somerville.
