Janet Evelyn Smith Black, 77, of Easley, wife of Chandler Bruce Black, Sr., died Thursday, December 13, 2012.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Moleta Tinsley Smith.
Mrs. Black was a homemaker and a member of Welcome Baptist Church. Janet was a loving wife, mother, and MeMaw who will be dearly missed.
In addition to her loving husband of 60 years, she is survived by daughter, Moleta Mauldin and husband, Barry, of Easley; son Chandler Black, Jr. and wife, Tracy, of Easley; three grandchildren, Timothy R. Mauldin, Jeremy C. Black, and Matthew C. Black and wife, Kim; and a sister, Shirley S. Campbell.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin C. Mauldin.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 11:30-12pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest with the funeral service following at 12pm in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery West.
