Born in Walhalla, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Annie Cox Smith. Mrs. Callahan was a retired seamstress from Stone Manufacturing.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 62 years, are two children, Charles Richard Callahan and wife Micha, of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Gail Shaver and husband Jimmie, of Taylors; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at City View First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
