Born in Greenville County, she was the wife of the late George T. "Tom" Goode and the daughter of the late John and Mamie Pearson Smith.
Mrs. Goode was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Lane Baptist Church. After her husband's death, "Granny" enjoyed her times as a waitress and the friends she met.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and David Cunningham of Greer, Mary Frances and Dennis Greene of Greenville; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Frankie Ellison of Greenville; 11 grandchildren, Debbie Trimm, Teresa Saylors, Tom Cunningham, Eva Spano, Darlene Meredith, Michael Greene, Connie Harrison, Robin Duncan, Larry Allen, Julie Kenniston, and John Allen; 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Goode was predeceased by a daughter, Norma Jean Allen.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel with burial in Graceland Cemetery, West.
Visitation will be 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Lane Baptist Church, 103 Marion Street, Greenville SC 29617.
