LaVaune Emma Larson, (nee Smith) age 86 of Hastings died Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Regina Pauline Unit in Hastings.

LaVaune was born April 22, 1927 in Superior, WI to Orin and Emma (Orstad) Smith. She was a graduate of Superior High School. LaVaune worked for herself as a beautician on the East Side of St. Paul, and then later out of her home in North St. Paul. After retiring as a beautician, she later worked for the J C Penney Co. in the Sun Ray Shopping Center.

LaVaune was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry Crisp, Frederick LeMoine and Leslie Larson; best friend and companion of 11 years, Gaspar (Gep) Cusumano; great-granddaughter, Mara Crisp; parents, Emma and Orin Smith; stepdaughter, Melanie Moris (nee LeMoine); siblings, Delores and Harry; and sisters-in-law: June, Helen, Martha, Mary and Marie.

She is survived by her children: Gypsi/Lynda (Kevin) LeMoine, Tom (Julie) Crisp, Jim (Carolyn) Crisp. Step Children: Mimi (David) Miller, Benet (Roger) Winberg, John (Carol) LeMoine, Jim (Julie) LeMoine, Step son-in-law: Jim Moris. Siblings: George, Bob, Orin, Jerry Smith, & many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Services for LaVaune will be held Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Gichitwa Kateri Catholic Church ( located at 3045 Park Avenue, Mpls, MN. 612-824-7606.) The times are as follows: 9am VISITATION, followed by the 10am SERVICE, 11am-12:30 Luncheon, with interment to follow (tentative) in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
