June Florence Colby, age 90, formerly of Saranac Lake, NY, but more recently of Starr Farms Nursing home in Burlington, VT died on October 9, 2014 at Starr Farms Nursing home in Burlington, VT.

She was born September 18, 1924 in Lake Placid, the daughter of Ellis and Beatrice (Vassar) Smith. June married James Colby Sr. on March 14 1942 in Lake Placid. He predeceased her on October 9, 1993. She is also predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Ohmann also from Saranac Lake.

She is survived by her son James Colby Jr. and his wife Susan of Milton, VT, Three grandsons, Jason Colby and his wife Kristeen, Glen Ohmann and his wife Barbara, and Eric Ohmann and his wife Beth. Also several great grandsons and great granddaughters, Michael, Matthew, Josh, and Jesse Ohmann, along with Addison and Emii Colby.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake on Tuesday October 14, 2014 from 10 to 11. Funeral services will immediately follow at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid.
