Pioneer Woman of 1852.

Daughter of Absolam Walmsley and Mary Amy Downs Smith.

In January 1867 she married William C. Allen. In 1876 she and her husband were called by Pres. Brigham Young to serve a mission and help establish a colony at St. Joseph, Arizona. Lovina and William served in many church callings there for 9 years before they returned to Draper, Utah. Her husband became a Patriarch and she served in the Relief Society for many years.

She was survived by her husband and their 12 Children: William Smith, Joseph Ellsworth, Rial Coleman, Earl Serenus, Andrew Wamsley, Wilford Jackson, Alda Pernice Rideout, Eva Matilda Palmer, Adella Mae Bateman, Margaret Amy Dansie, Hyrum Bert, and Pearl Malmstrom. Church records show three other children: Delila Lovina, Absolom, and Anna Allen. Also survived by 45 Grandchildren and 10 Grandchildren at the time of her death.
