Mrs. Edna Mae Smith Brown, 73, of Swainsboro died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Emanuel County Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Brown was born October 7, 1940 in Swainsboro Ga. to the late Dave and Ollie Mae Smith. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Martha Morrison and brothers; Edward and Charlie Smith. Mrs. Brown was a life long resident of Emanuel County. She worked in the food service industry until retirement. Mrs. Brown loved looking after people and taking care of them. She was a member of the Springhill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning, July 12, 2014 with Reverends Timothy J. Nary Sr. and Phil Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery in Swainsboro.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening, July 11, 2014 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of the arrangements for the funeral of Mrs. Edna Mae Smith Brown, 73, of Swainsboro.
