SWAINSBORO -- Winnie Smith Coleman died Nov. 3 at Emanuel Medical Center.
The Laurens County native graduated from Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville and was a retired fourth-grade teacher. She was the widow of Hugh Coleman.
She was a member of the Swainsboro Garden Club, Emanuel County Retired Teachers Association, First Baptist Church, T.E.L. Sunday School Class and the Happy Rovers.
SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret S. and Sam Smith of Twin City; a son, Hobson G. Coleman of Boston; and two granddaughters.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Friday at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary, burial in Twin City Cemetery. -Savannah Now, Nov 1999
