Born in Greenville, May 8, 1911, she was the daughter of the late William Arthur Smith and Harriett Amanda Cobb Smith. She was a member of the Bishop Class of First Baptist Church in Mauldin. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandma.
Surviving are her husband of 73 years, Grady William Brown; four daughters, Lucille Jones, and her husband, Don, Betty Goodwin, Shirley Hall and Kay Cox, and her husband, Larry; a sister, Sue Forrester; nine grandchildren, Steven Jones, and his wife, Sarah, Peggy Wardlaw, and her husband, Don, Tim Jones, Alan Goodwin, and his wife, Delilah, Mandy Williamson, and her husband, Brian, Eddie Goodwin, Lisa DeYoung, Tonya Boseman and Lynn Williams, and her husband, Stacy; and nine great-grandchildren, Sam, Ethan and Marc Jones, and his wife, Kristy, Emily and Lindsay Wardlaw, Becky Mullinax, Amanda Williamson, Bryant DeYoung and Cade Williams. She was predeceased by two sisters, Esther Roe and Lucille Smith; and also a grandson, Douglas Goodwin.
