James Edward Smith, 51, of 6152 Cedar St., Murry, Utah, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at his home.
A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of Rosalee Wood Smith of Gaffney and the late Noble Smith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Smith of Murry; two sons, Samuel Smith and Michael Smith, both of Murry; two sisters, Ruthie Rodgers and Nancy Robinson of Gaffney; and three brothers, James Wood and Lindsay Smith of Gaffney and Fred Smith of Union.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12590 S. 200 W St., Riverton, Utah. Burial will be in Veteran Park Cemetery, Riverton. (Courtesy of Foster Funeral Home.)
