Joe passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2010 of a heart attack while at work at the Naval Shipyard in Port Orchard, WA. He resided at 3714 West G Street in Bremerton, Washington at the time of his death.


He was the oldest child born to E. Joe Smith and Gay Smith. He married Terri Nielsen in 1977; later divorced. Father of three children. He joined the Navy in 1980 and traveled the world. He graduated from the Chaminade University in Honolulu in 1980 with an Associate in Arts. He spent the last fourteen years in Bremerton, WA.


He is survived by his parents, his children, Joe (Megan), Patrick, and Lexie Smith. His siblings Beccy (Mike) Hilton, Teresa (Doug) Hansen, Mitchell (Lori) Smith, and Michael (Shawnee) Smith.


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Utah Veteran's Memorial Park Chapel. 17111 South Camp Williams Road. Riverton, Utah.
