Mrs. Mintis Allen, 94, of Broughton, died Tuesday morning at the Pearce hospital in Eldorado. Services have been set for Thursday at 2 p.m at the Hickory Hill church with the Rev. Earl Barton officiating.
Interment will be in the Hickory Hill cemetery.
Friends may call at the Gholson funeral home in Broughton afternoon Wednesday when the body will lie in state until time for the services.
Born in Saline county, July 30, 1865, she was the daughter of Mr and Mrs. James Sneed. She was married to Thomas Allen, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Amos and Marion of Broughton & Elmer of Pekin, Ill.; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Durham of Arkansas, Mrs. Mollie Durden, Kansas and Miss Myrtle Sneed, Texas; and a brother, Marion Sneed, Texas.
