Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Loving of First Christian Church officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.
Fon was born Sept. 12, 1914, in Plainview to John Allen and Lottie Lois Reynolds Sneed. She graduated from Hale Center High School.
She married Charles Arthur on Feb. 25, 1939, in Plainview. They lived in Raton, N.M., for 20 years prior to returning to Amarillo, where she lived the remainder of her life.
Mrs. Arthur loved her family and her church. She was a member of First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977.
Survivors include two daughters, Carla Landreth and husband Ray of Irving and Jo Ann Looper and husband Travis of Waco; a son, Lt. Cmdr. William "Bill" Arthur, USN retired, and wife Susan of Santee, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be to a charity of choice.
