Mrs. C. J. Baker received a CSA pension based on her husband, Lemuel Smith Baker's service, in Co. D, 13th GA vols. In her paperwork, she gives her date of birth as July 28, 1842 and their marriage in 1863 in Muscogee Co., Ga. Lemuel S. Baker served time in prison in Almira, N.Y. after being captured, was parolled, and he died on 30 Jan 1891 in Culladen, Monroe Co, Ga. His grave may be in the cemetery with hers and just unmarked.
