Berniece E. Baggs, 87, of Terre Haute, IN passed away 3:25 AM Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Regional Hospital at Terre Haute. She was retired from Quaker Maid of Terre Haute and
was later employed by First Financial Bank. She was born April 11, 1925 in the McKeen area of Clark Co., IL, the daughter of Theodore Somers and Flossie May Joy Somers. She married Daniel T. Baggs on Jan. 10, 1942 and he preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2012.
Surviving are a sister, Dorothy Kirby of Terre Haute; a brother, Norman "Gib" Somers and his wife, Mary of Dennison, IL and several nieces and nephews. In additional to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Edward Somers, Albert Somers,John Somers and Mitchell Somers and two sisters,Erma Alcorn and Irene Calloway.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Post #792 and the First Financial Bank Gold Club. Services in honor of her life will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home in Terre Haute with Rev. David Deal officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park at Terre Haute. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. For those desiring,
