Jeanette Abbott Dickinson

CRISFIELD — Jeanette G. Abbott Dickinson,
72, of Crisfield, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003
at her home.

Born in Crisfield, she was a daughter of the
late Allen and Berthan Nelson Somers. Her first
husband, John Thomas Abbott died in 1971.

She was a former seafood worker for Mrs.
Paul's Kitchen in Crisfield, and.she was a
member of the Stanley Cochrane Post 16
American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her companion, James "J.J."
Johnson of Crisfield; three sons and their
wives, Arthur Thomas Sr. and Cindy Abbott,
John Thomas "Tommy" Jr. and Susan Abbott,
and Philip Norman and Jane Abbott, all of
Crisfield; one daughter and her husband, Linda
A. "Lucky" and Eugene Olah, of Crisfield; one
brother, Allen "Frog" Somers of Crisfield; three
sisters, Anna Beaumister of Pittsburg, Pa.,
Mary Ellen Collins of Salisbury, and Elizabeth
Walston of Crisfield; a daughter inlaw, Tammy
Abbott of Crisfield; a sister-in-law, Laura
Somers of Crisfield; 13 grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband,
she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen
G. "Stevie" Abbott, who died in 1998 and a
brother, Arthur W. "Buster" Somers in 1999.

A funeral service was held Sunday at Mt.
Pleasant United Methodist Church in Crisfield.

In lieu of flowers donations are requested to
be sent to: Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733,
Salisbury, MD 21802-1733.
