Erma L. Alcorn, 91, Terre Haute, Ind., passed away at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 14) at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Ind.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with the Rev. Steve Bramlett officiating. Burial will be in the Dunlap Cemetery in Dennison. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home and from 7 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Alcorn was born April 20, 1908 in Dennison, the daughter of Theodore D. Somers and Flossie May Joy Somers. She married Roy Alcorn Nov. 30, 1925 in Clark County. He preceded her in death Dec. 21, 1949.
She is survived by two brothers, Mitchell Somers of Griffith, Ind. and Gib Somers of Dennison; two sisters, Dorothy Kirby and Berniece Baggs, both of Terre Haute, Ind.
She was also survived by two brothers, Mitchell Somers of Griffith, Ind., and Gib Somers of Dennison; two sisters, Dorothy Kirby and Berniece Baggs, both of Terre Haute, Ind.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Somers, Albert Somers, and John Somers and a sister, Irene Calloway.
Mrs. Alcorn was a member of the Patton United Methodist Church at Dennison and she was a former member and volunteer of the Wabash Senior Center.
