Funeral services were held at the Padden
Chapel in Frankfort, Kansas, Sunday, August
18, 1957 for Mrs. Ina E. Curry who passed
away, Friday, August 16, 1957.
Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
Ina E. Sparks, daughter of James H. and
Hattie Sparks, was born January 25, 1883,
near Rich Hill, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Otis M. Goss,
March 9, 1898. To this union three daughters
were born. Mr. Goss passed away August 7,
1912 at Frankfort, Kansas.
On June 2, 1914 she was married to Gilford
D. Curry. For several years she assisted Mr.
Curry with Farmer’s Mutual Insurance, for
which he was a agent. After his passing she
was appointed agent, and served until the
summer of 1950. She had been ill in health
since 1950. She passed away August 16,
1957 at the Randell hospital in Marysville,
Kansas.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs.
Gaynell Rice, Frankfort, Kansas, and Mrs.
Ella Blass, Manhattan, Kansas; Audrey
Capek preceded her in death in 1954; four
sisters, Mrs. Clara Hollinsworth, Enid,
Oklahoma, Mrs. Susie Woods and Mrs. Myra
Monroe, Hutchinson, Kansas, Mrs. Jean Aske
Astoria, Oregon; two brothers, J.T. Sparks,
Yelm, Washington and James Sparks, Odessa,
Texas; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ella McKee,
Long Beach, California and Mrs. Edna Clark,
Pleasant Hope, Missouri; two step-sons,
Rollin Curry, Everett, Washington, and
Charles of Springfield Missouri; 12 grand-
children and 21 great grandchildren.
