She died at the home of her brother, Wiiliam Sparks, at Fleming, on Saturday evening, August 22nd, 1903.
She was born Oct. 4, 1844, in Wilson County, North Carolina. At two years of age she moved with her parents to Kentucky. In 1864 she came to Kansas.
She was married to William Curtis Feb. 15, 1873. She was a member of the Baptist church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Maggie Barkweel, and three brothers, Calvin, Hiram, and William Sparks.

Polly married William Wesley Curtis Nov 21, 1881. On April 22, 1882 she gave birth to their daughter Margaret M. Curtis.
At the time of Polly's death Margaret was married to James Barkwell, not Barkweel.
